iPal App

The iPal "app", developed by Providence's healthcare Palliative Care team with support from St. Paul's Hospital Foundation, is a web-based tool to assist in the initial palliative care assessment.  The webpage is optimized for smartphones, tablets and web browsers and can be used anywhere with an Internet connection.  The tool assists physicians with assessing and managing common symptoms in palliative care patients, as well as providing possible treatment information (with dosage recommendations).  The tool also includes best practice on communication techniques and assisting families in the planning process.
