The Canadian Coalition for Seniors’ Mental Health updated
their guideline on assessing and treating older adults with delirium. This is
the first guideline from CCSMH of an interdisciplinary nature to address key
aspects of seniors’ mental health.
Included in the update to this guideline is a discussion on some
of the advancements that have been made since it was last published in 2006,
and how those advancements in research and literature should guide clinicians
in Canada going forward. Many of the recommendations in this document are
practical and drug related.
