A toolkit for reducing inappropriate use of antipsychotics in long term care

Choosing Wisely Canada, a campaign to help clinicians and patients engage in conversation about unnecessary tests, treatments and procedures organized by the Canadian Medical Association and the University of Toronto, created a toolkit to support interventions to reduce the excessive use of antipsychotic medication administration in long term care.
Its content is derived from a similar toolkit created by the Alberta Health Services. The toolkit is intended for physician groups, clinical services or organizations to help reduce antipsychotic prescribing.
