The Manitoba Provincial Health Ethics Network (MB-PHEN), in their series of Ethics Issue Reference Guides, developed a guide which discusses the ethical considerations involved in caring for a bariatric patient. The four-page guide includes a quick summary, a list of ethical considerations, ethical principles and a framework for decision-making in situations where these considerations and principles are relevant.
The MB-PHEN aims to advance ethics in health care within Manitoba by providing resources to guide health care providers with ethical decision-making.
