The Canadian Association of Spiritual Care (CASC) features on
their website a list of resources which could be of use to anyone engaging in
spiritual care in settings such as health care, education or private practice.
One of the featured resources is a tool from the Niagara Health System called
the Inter-Professional Spiritual Care Engagement Tool (SCET).
There is a description of the SCET and its purpose and
context, the tool itself, an educational package with self-directed or more
guided learning options for health care providers to gain understanding of
spiritual care and how to engage with patients or residents on spiritual care
topics, and finally there is a document describing the scope of practice of
those whose background is spiritual or pastoral working in health care, and
vice versa the scope of practice of those working in health care who engage in
spiritual care.
