Infection Prevention and Control in residential and community aged care

Infection prevention is important in all healthcare facilities, but residents of long-term care facilities can be especially vulnerable to the spread of infection.  The National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia have put together the Infection Prevention and Control in residential and community aged care guide for staff of long-term care to help stop the spread of infection.
Based on the most current best practice, this guide is divided into 3 parts.  Part A gives a detailed overview of the importance of infection prevention, keywords and visual instructions for promoting hygiene.  Part B provides tips and advice for infection prevention in residential aged care including outbreak management.  Part C imparts tips and advice for community aged care.
