Talking Toolkit by Bupa

The Talking Toolkit, is a resource to help families and care home staff connect with cognitively-impaired older adults.  Created by Bupa Care Home staff, the Talking Toolkit will equip professionals, family and friends with communication skills and strategies to speak with people with dementia in meaningful ways.  The guide includes talking points that can be used at different stages of dementia and an FAQ section specifically designed to address tough questions posed by families.

For more information on this topic, please visit the J.W. Crane Library libguide on communicating with residents with dementia.  Or have a look at the Communication brochure produced by The Alzheimer's Society of Canada on communication strategies for caregivers.
