As we mentioned a
few weeks ago, the
GIA (Grantmakers in Aging) and their program
Community AGEnda are dedicated to preparing communities for the aging population.

Similar to the
Age-friendly America database, the GIA has developed a
toolkit on how to implement and promote age-friendly communities. The PDF includes resources to help build an age-friendly community and examples of what other cities and communities have done. There is also discussion of important steps to take, how to get stakeholders on board and how to identify partnerships within a community.
