Preventing Falls and Fall-Related Injuries in Older People

The Cochrane Library is one of the best sources for obtaining evidence-based information to better inform health care decisions.  Preventing Falls and Fall-Related Injuries in Older People is a special collection containing four Cochrane reviews that provide evidence of effective interventions in preventing in falls.

The Cochrane reviews highlighted here include:


  • Interventions for preventing falls in older people living in the community
  • Interventions for preventing falls in older people in care facilities and hospitals
  • Population-based interventions for the prevention of fall-related injuries in older people
  • Hip protectors for preventing hip fractures in older people
