Toolkit: Living with Dementia: Resources for Living Well

Living with Dementia: Resources for Living Well is a web-based tool (available in French and English) with a variety of informative resources on Dementia for patients and families.  Developed by the University of Waterloo, McMaster, Lakehead, and Queen's, this tool was created with the intentions of identifying the information needs of family and persons newly diagnosed, and to create a site that was easy to search with resources that are relevant and accessible.

The information is divided into four categories:

  • health care
  • living well
  • care and support
  • planning ahead
Resources on the site include, frequent question and answer; different treatment processes that patients may go through; strategies for living well and many more.  All the resources were developed by a team of health care professionals, educators, patients living with dementia and family members.
