New Falls Prevention Website Launched

Winnipeg, MB – Preventfalls.ca is an innovative new website aimed at reducing serious injuries caused by falls in older adults and children, the two groups that are at highest risk.

Preventfalls.ca includes information about what puts people at risk and gives information about what they can do to stay on their feet. Unique features of the website include:

Interactive checklist to help older adults and their families identify the person’s personal risk factors An inventory of exercise programs that meet criteria for preventing falls, searchable by postal code. Preventfalls.ca is part of the Staying on Your Feet falls prevention program of the WRHA.
