From Prevention in Chronic Disease Dis 2010;7(6), this paper addresses the growing issue of falls as a public health problem, and describes a statewide effort in Texas to implement and disseminate A Matter of Balance/Volunteer Lay Leader model, an evidence-based fall prevention program.
