Defining Dining: It's About Me

“Defining Dining: It’s About Me” is this year’s  theme of the National Consumer Voice for Quality Long Term Care Residents' Rights Week. Resident’s Rights Week is celebrated by the National Consumer Voice in the first full week in October each year to honor residents living in all long-term care facilities, including nursing homes, sub acute units, assisted living, board and care and retirement communities.  This offers an opportunity for every facility to focus on and celebrate awareness of dignity, respect and the value of each individual resident.

The site contains a number of useful staff training resources for enhancing the dining experience of residents, including a Powerpoint presentation for staff education,  a presentation guide and a poster of dining enhancement ideas.
