The June-August 2008 issue of the BP Blogger is on “Medications: The right dosing issue”
It reviews appropriate medication use in LTC residents / older adults with renal impairment. It highlights the need to appropriately dose according to renal function. Coumadin is an often prescribed medication for older adults. It reviews the importance of maintaining a therapeutic INR level and therapeutic benefit of using Coumadin even in those at risk of falling.
