EX MEMORIA is a short film project with an outreach programme supported by The Wellcome Trust.
It is being distributed widely to the UK care community and is relevant to all those working in the areas of dementia and alzheimer study and care. The film comes with a study pack specially written to assist carers.
The fifteen-minute film takes us into a day in the life of Eva, putting us face to face with one person's experience of old age and dementia. It boldly forces us to face her lived reality as she moves in and out of the momentary, the half-remembered, the partly imagined. We watch as her trouble past returns to haunt the present.
