This guideline provides evidence-based recommendations for interprofessional teams managing pressure injuries in adults. The recommendations are intended for use by frontline staff who provide care for individuals across all practice settings. There are also recommendations for educators who provide staff education on pressure injuries.
This guideline refers to “pressure ulcers” as “pressure injuries” as per terminology adopted by the National Pressure Ulcer Advisory Panel (NPUAP).
